Safeguarding health, safety at all means, security and environmental protection is a priority for us

Arc Logistics Partners LP operates under strict safety measures, health and environmental (SHE) procedures to ensure that products are being safely stored, loaded and unloaded. This is subjected to the federal health and safety agencies guidelines that actively operates under a License guided by the authorities.

We also work to minimize damage to the environment through harmful emissions, for example, or accidental spills. We have a clear responsibility, in this respect, to the communities in which we operate. Arc Logistics Partners LP sure has a robust environmental management policy. Our Environmental Management System is included in all governmental regulatory internal standards.

Arc Logistics Partners LP has put in place a program of improvements at all our curriculum to further reduce emissions of VOCs (volatile organic compounds). VOCs can cause air pollution and may pose a health risk, which is why we assess not only the emissions themselves, but also their overall social impact, which we aim to reduce by at least 80%. We work hard to make our carbon footprint smaller and our ambition is to be climate neutral by the following years to come.

The corporate Health, Safety, Security & Environment (HSSE) Department develops guidelines and minimum requirements for all subsidiaries. Targets are set and the performance is benchmarked to achieve continuous improvement.

One significant measure is the creation of comprehensive HSSE manuals that are specifically tailored to the respective operating units and based on which the sites develop appropriate local management systems.

A central tool for learning from incidents is a global incident database. To prevent incidents and their reoccurrence, all accidents, incidents, near misses and unsafe acts and conditions are logged and systematically analyzed. If necessary, HSSE alerts are created, distributed to the relevant sites and discussed with our employees.

To monitor compliance with our internal standards, internal HSSE audits are performed and detailed HSSE statistics with “leading” (forward-looking) and “lagging” (retrospective) KPIs are analyzed.

A further central point of our effort to conduct our business activities in a safe, healthy and environment friendly manner is the training and education of our employees. New employees as well as contractors and visitors are instructed in matters of HSSE before taking up their work or their visit.
